3.5 stars "Color: deep; Nose: complex; Acidity: lively; Sweetness: dry; Finish: persistent; Overall: well balanced; Dark fruit, plum, currants, pencil lead shavings, pepper & ??? on nose and palate. Medium + finish with drying tannins and cola like finish. The plum dominates - big Australian shiraz but with more sophistication than just a kick you in the teeth typical Australian red. "

93 points "Firm; dark and peppery in flavor, with dense plum, currant and floral aromas and flavors playing themselves out through a long, generous finish. Best from 2006 through 2015." Best 2006-2015

92 points "Dusty and pretty on the nose, with cassis, cedar and black pepper aromas. On the palate, the fruit tastes as inky and purple as the wine shows in the glass, its crisp acids and lush tannins rounding out this rich, sumptuous Shiraz. Finishes bright and medium-long." Best 2008-
