Tasting Notes:
tasted: August 6, 2016 , from a member
92 points "Color: dark; Nose: complex; Aromas: herbal, woody, black berry, dried fruit; Acidity: supple; Sweetness: dry; Body: full-bodied; Finish: medium; Initially, this wine was very odd for a pinot, with a more new world Syrah nose and flavor profile than Pinot. After hours of air (and slow tasting along the way), this wine finally opened up and became a nicely balanced, dark fruit wine but it took quite a while, as with earlier tastings." Best 2016-2020
rated: October 2, 2011 , Wine Spectator
90 points "Firm and dense, yet supple around the edges, this offers vivid flavors of wild berry, raspberry, fresh earth and wildflowers, joined by touches of herb and spice. Needs time. Drink now through 2016." Best -2015
