"Color: deep; Nose: intense; Aromas: mineral; Acidity: lively; Sweetness: dry; Body: medium-bodied; Finish: medium; Overall: well balanced; Outstanding. Cedar and leather on the nose, but not without a nice boquet of fruit. Opened up nicely after about 20 minutes. Wish I had bought more of this. Classic Brunello with earthy tones, yet full of fruit and tannins!"

"Opens up very nicely, with plum, berry, a hint of mineral and even jam. Full-bodied, with silky, velvety tannins and a medium finish. Very well-crafted. Better than the 1997. This new producer is getting better every year. Not imported into the U.S. Best after 2003. 1,500 cases made."
