"International in style, but complex and beautifully made, this full-bodied seducer uses its fancy oak origins to tap into Piedmont's register: flavorful black fruit (with violet, mint, currant notes), ripe but tough tannins, racy acidity, and, especially, the mineral terroir. Has the stuffing to age. Best from 2006 through 2010. 150 cases made.
Displays plum aromas, with toasty oak undertones. Full-bodied, with fine tannins and a long, flavorful finish of fruit and tar. Still tight.--1996 Piedmont retrospective. Best after 2008. 150 cases made"
