" This is what happens when you distill five generations of one of California's most important wine making families. First there was Jacob Beringer, pioneering winemaker in the Napa Valley back in 1876; then there was Otto Beringer, who kept wine alive during prohibition by offering his juice for medicinal and sacramental purposes; next came Martha Jane Beringer and her husband Roy Raymond who helped to put the Napa Valley on the wine maps of the world. Their progeny was Walter Raymond, founder of Raymond Vineyard & Cellar in 1971; and his other contribution, Krisi Raymond, creator of Five Vintners and this very fine, very BIG zinfandel ringing in at 14.9° alcohol with enough fruit and body to send you reminiscing about your own personal history."
