96 points "94-96pts. The rich 2008 Chardonnay Kistler Vineyard’s bouquet of honeysuckle, wet stones, unbuttered popcorn, white peaches, and subtle minerality is followed by a wine with superb length, richness, texture, and purity. Best drunk during the first 5-7 years of life " Best -2013

96 points "94-96pts. The 2007 Chardonnay Kistler Vineyard reminds me of a Corton-Charlemagne with its notes of white peach, unbuttered popcorn, honeysuckle, and that liqueur of crushed rocks. This dry-farmed vineyard planted with old Wente and Mt. Eden clones (the preferred choice of Steve Kistler and his sidekick Mark Bixler) has produced a full-bodied, powerful, mineral-dominated wine with great acidity and a long finish. With almost a tannic structure superimposed on the enormous fruit, this wine should drink well for at least a decade.”"

95 points "The 2001 Chardonnay Kistler Vineyard is a tightly-knit offering. Light gold-colored with considerable glycerin and power, it exhibits a liquid minerality, and a big, rich, textured style with huge concentration. Most of the wine’s character is at the back of the palate. This offering reminds me of a Batard-Montrachet from the likes of Louis Latour. With extraordinary length, richness, precision, and purity, this sensational Chardonnay will drink well for 6-8 years. " Best 2003-2011
