"Color: dark; Nose: fragrant; Aromas: herbal, spicy, black berry; Acidity: lively; Sweetness: dry; Body: full-bodied; Finish: persistent; Overall: bold; This was interesting. I have had this wine before, while dining at a restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed it, remembering a smooth, complex red that went well with the food. Must've been an ealier vintage, as this 2004 was a bit different. The shiraz brings in the fruit up front, and the cab provides some strength on the finish. But it seemed unpolished, a bit unbalanced, acidic, tannic. Perhaps it needs a few more years in the cellar. Definitely give this one some air, probably 1/2 hour or so before drinking. I like it, and I think it's a great deal at this price, but.....I think I will get a few more and put away for a few years."
