"Color: deep; Nose: fragrant; Aromas: black berry; Acidity: lively; Sweetness: dry; Body: medium-bodied; Finish: medium; Overall: rich; Prototypical California Zin. It has that just off berry fermentation odor that I am familiar with from my home winemaker days. On the palate, mildly tannic, sort of brambly black berry fruit. A good effort from Ridge, one of the better zins I have tasted in years from them. I still think they are restingon their laurels and Draper and company need to get their shit together if they want to get close to the top again."
