Tasting Notes:

4 stars "Color: dark; Aromas: black berry; Sweetness: dry; Finish: persistent; Please be sure to give this time to open up and smooth out. Should have decanted. Improved with each small glass from the bottle. " Best 2014-2018

94 points "Modus - as you may have surmised from the name - is a modern Tuscan blend of sangiovese, merlot and cabernet aged in small French oak. It’s deeply coloured, dense and quite oaky resinous on the nose with oak spice, chocolate almond and black currant aromas. It’s quite full bodied, firm, warm and gritty with a sour cream finish. Excellent length. Needs time- rather blunt now! " Best 2013-2016

" The Wine Advocate 90 "A darkly extracted and super-rich expression of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot that shows enormous confidence and determination. This is the kind of wine you will enjoy pairing with roast pork stuffed with cooked prunes or juicy magret de canard. It is well-built and opulent, with thick layers of spice, black fruit, dark espresso bean and bitter chocolate. The style is soft, modern and well-suited to its many fans in international markets." –Monica Larner (Aug. 2013) "
