" Balanced and very versatile, this 2000 Merlot is not going to blow you away with girth and overall largesse. But it will make you very, very happy at the dinner table. The juice was fermented in a combination of stainless steel and open top fermentors. The tanks were pumped over twice a day and the fermentors punched down three times a day. After malolactic fermentation and blending, the new wine was racked to 60-gallon American oak barrels and aged for 12 months to mellow the moderate tannins. 97% merlot and 3% cabernet sauvignon."
