90 points "The 2003 The Galvo Garage (a Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot) is outstanding. Its deep ruby color is accompanied by aromas of cedar wood, spice box, black currants, and fruitcake. Medium-bodied with outstanding depth, purity, and overall balance, this fairly priced beauty should drink well for 4-7 years." Best 2005-2012

91 points "A blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, petit verdot and cabernet franc from McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills. Grilled capsicum, spice and leaf float through black currant and plum fruit on a long intense palate, structured by grippy, slightly coarse tannins. The finish is tempered by firm acidity. This is a big cabernet blend in every sense. 91 out of 100 points. (Very good wine.) Best drinking around: 2009-2012. This bottle was sealed with a cork. Like it. " Best 2009-2012

92 points "I loved the 2002 vintage of this wine and am happy to report that the 2003 really tickled my fancy too. The wine is a blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, petit verdot and cabernet franc and is aged entirely in French oak - 20% of which is new. Dark inky colour. Beautiful smelling wine. Aromas of cassis, cherry, violet, earth and cedar oak. I even think I can smell some marzipan..but I might just be being fanciful. On the palate there are flavours of cherry, cassis and violets backed up with savoury toasty oak. Very tastefully applied oak I might add. The tannins are super fine and ripe - very much a standout feature of this wine. I noticed a little dip in the wine as it goes through mid palate but otherwise a really good progression from front to back. Long chocolaty finish. It may be the power of suggestion but yes I do think this wine has many similarities to a (ripe) Bordeaux wine. Enjoyed this immensely." Best 2006-2012
