" This 2002 Chardonnay was produced using four different yeast strains and a significant portion was fermented with wild yeast. This contributes a certain elegance to the wine and complements the aromas of ripe pear, spice and creme brulee. Layers of rich oak are evident, but not overwhelming, and add a subtle toasted almond and vanilla component to the wine. The mouthfeel has extreme depth and richness, yet retains refreshing acids to keep the wine balanced."
