In a blind tasting, it could be mistaken for a premier cru from Volnay by some of those silly terroirists who always like to do a lot more postulating than tasting. This medium-bodied Zinfandel reveals a flamboyant side to its elegance, and somehow manages to hide its alcohol. This Zinfandel exhibits delicious berry and cherry fruit with a strawberry liqueur-like after-finish. Drink it over the next 5-6 years." (06/2000)"
