" Bin 707 is to cabernet what Grange is to shiraz, and in 2001 perfectly ripened fruit resulted in an intense wine showing pure ripe blackcurrant fruit aromas laced with mint and the faintest suggestion of violet. Cigar box and fresh tobacco oak notes showcase the sheer fruit quality. Although youthful, the nose already shows true 707 character. On the palate the wine is powerful and complete, with very ripe saturated fruits soaking up the lavish new oak. The depth of fruit and defined structure coupled with obvious muscular tannins suggest that this wine is built for the long term. And oh, what a finish! 91pts. from The Wine Spectator 8/12/04"
