"This 10-hectare estate is now run for the most part by Virna, the daughter of the original proprietor Ludovico Borgogno. Together, this father and daughter team fashion five traditional Piedmontesi red wines. The Dolcetto hails from the village of Novello. The grapes are entirely destemmed to reduce tannins, and the juice goes from stainless steel tanks straight to bottle, following a brief racking. Pretty and floral as a spring day, with wild cherries on the nose and palate, fresh, fruity and round with low acidity and a surprisingly elegant finish."
