" Lovely red fruit notes. This is alive and singing, and very Chambolle. Absolutely engaging fruit, with raspberry and bright notes. A delight on the palate and very aromatic. Lovely village wine, finer than some premiers cru.(Keith Wollenberg, K&L Burgundy Buyer, 03/04)Allen Meadows picks this as a Key Buy, and writes: "(Les Cras is a split rated vineyard and this is from the villages portion). There is some reduction but not enough to block the cherry liqueur nose. The medium weight flavors are sweet, forward, sappy and mouth coating and the extract completely buffers the moderate and ripe tannins, which are highlighted by the zippy acidity on the long finish. A terrific effort at this level and it knocks on the door of solid 1er quality." (Burghound, 01/04)"
