"Dark ruby color, with fabulous aromas of blackberries, toasted oak and cedar. Turns to fresh herbs and wild berries. Full-bodied, with big, velvety tannins and lots of ripe fruit. Amazing finish of toasted oak. The greatest wine ever from Clerico. First made in 1995. Breathtaking. Best after 2010. 470 cases made James Suckling, (July 31, 2004). Wine Advocate 93pts -- This bottle of the 2000 Barolo Percristina offers intense, exotic sensations of super-ripe fruit, menthol and minerals, with an opulent open-knit personality and superb persistence on the palate. Hard to resist now, it will be even better in a few years. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2016."
