"Murrieta's most famous offering is Castillo Ygay. Primarily Tempranillo, it is only produced in the finest vintages, and is generally aged 48 months in barrel. The dark ruby/purple-colored 1995 Castillo Ygay Grand Reserva Especial exhibits notes of cigar tobacco, cedar, spice box, black cherries, and currants. Medium to full-bodied, with moderate tannin, and a fleshy texture, it should be at its best in 4-5 years, and last for 20-25."
