"The fruit for this wine was sourced from Ash Creek Vineyards which is located at the northern end of Alexander Valley atop Pine Mountain at an elevation of 2100'. This is the highest elevation Zin vineyard in Sonoma County. The soil is quite shallow and turns into crushed red rock at 1.5 feet. This is an inhospitable location to grow wine grapes and therefore stresses the vines naturally which results in fabulous age worthy wines. Darkly colored, the wine greets you with aromas of blueberry, white pepper, and dried cranberries."
