"Jaffurs’ wines continue to go from strength to strength, and recent vintages have been the finest I have yet tasted from this producer. The 2005 Syrah Santa Barbara is the most supple and soft of the group, it reveals plenty of blackberry and cassis fruit, soft acidity, silky tannin, and an opulent, plush mouthfeel. Enjoy this fleshy red over the next 3-4 years."
