" The area between St. Helena and Calistoga has long been known as one of the best places in the Napa Valley to grow red grapes. Fife's oldest vineyard block there is planted with 75-year-old zinfandel in a gravel streak formed by the alluvial fan of Ritchie Creek as it runs down Spring Mountain on its way to join the Napa River. This is a big Zin which shows tons of spice, jam, ripe raspberries."
