" 93 Points and a Key Buy from Allen Meadows: "(from a full 1 ha parcel of 40+ year old vines aged in approximately 1/3 new oak with a slightly longer élevage than the prior wines). This has already completely eaten its wood with bigger, richer and fuller aromas and flavors though as one would expect, there isn’t any near the same degree of minerality. This is an amazingly complex wine with sweet and impeccably balanced full-bodied flavors that offer an impressive level of sap andsuperb length. This is very classy juice. (Burghound, 07/04)91-93 Points From Steve Tanzer: "($99; Boudot's three parcels of vines are 62, 47 and 23 years old; the highest in alcohol of the 2002s, with the oldest vines having reached 14.5%) Very sweet aromas of pear and yellow plum verge on exotic. Rich and impressively full, but with strong underlying acidity. The wine's sweetness and acidity, not to mention its honey and candied fruit flavors, are almost in opposition today (Boudot notes that he will continue to stir the lees until November). " (International Wine Cellar, 09/03)92-94 Points from Parker's Wine Advocate."
