"Medium to full red-purple; a wonderfully complex and satisfying bouquet with fruit intermingling with sweet, cedary oak. The soft, rich and ripe palate is multi-textured and multilayered in terms of flavour. The oak is plentiful, but so is the fruit. Top end of the town"

"Unevolved nose with hints of wet earth and spicy berries. The palate is exactly the same: tighter than an economy-class seat, though with undoubted blackurrant-liqueur flavour depth and not a little (high) quality oak influence. Good flavour persistence. Big, dark, brooding fruit and big, cedary, toasty oak to match. Not what you’d call elegant, but impressive in itself.
