" The 2001 Cloverdale Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon is rich and inviting with firm, velvety tannins. Black currant and allspice, black pepper and crushed bay leaves are forthright in the nose. 18 months of barrel age while on the palate it is all smooth chocolately notes and ripe fruit such as currant and berry. The wine was aged for 18 months in a combination of French and American oak, 36% new, 64% in 1-, 2- and 3-year-old wood."
