Succulent and ripe, the 2003 vintage is pleasingly purple with fragrant notes of blackberry jam. Luscious fruit is the focal point on the palate with a juicy, voluptuous mouthful that is classically Zinfandel. Hints of brown spice from the 100 percent French oak barrels punctuate the mid-palate followed by a long and complex finish. "
