"Color: deep; Nose: complex; Acidity: lively; Body: medium-bodied; At first smell & taste, thought the wine was way past and corked, but just needed time for funk to blow off. Actually is perfect and better than I remember (though prob was best 2 yrs ago). Nose of French barique - like the winery smells in Napa surrounded by oak barrels. Also get smoke, currants and blackberries. A med bod Syrah - with a sweetness in front along with flavors mentioned earlier - great acidity and finishes with a pepper spice & blackberry currant that goes for 45 seconds"
