"While similarly-styled, the 2005 Syrah Estate is slightly more reserved and streamlined (as expected from a less flamboyant and overtly-styled vintage) than the 2004 It is a beautifully made effort built more on finesse and nuance than power and fruit. Nevertheless, there is plenty of black raspberry and cassis fruit intermixed with camphor, earth, and a touch of black olives. Drink this beauty over the next 5-6 years."
