" For the last ten years Ponzo Vineyard fruit (from the cool Russian River valley) was included in Ridge's excellent Sonoma County wine, that was until Paul Draper realized the distinctive, consistent character of these grapes deserved their very own bottling. Sure to become a collector's item in its own right, this first edition of Ponzo Vineyard Zinfandel is intense, ripe and balanced. Only a modest 16% of the wine was aged in new oak. Includes 2% carignan and 2% petit sirah."
