"The 2005 Booker Vineyard (a new offering from a hillside vineyard closer to Highway 101) is a 400-case blend of 92% Syrah and 8% Grenache. This is quite full-bodied, powerful wine with loads of structure, unmistakable minerality, and moderately high tannin. The wine has sweet cassis, black cherry, and currant fruit, some hints of wet rocks, and firm tannins in the finish. Perhaps the most backward of all these wines, it seems to merit 3-4 years of bottle age and should evolve for possibly up to two decades. "
