"A newer offering from Justin Smith is the 2005 Heart Stone Vineyard, a 400-case blend of 49% Syrah, 33% Grenache, and the rest Mourvedre. There is a very northern Rhone-like character to this wine, with notes of roasted Provencal herbs, fresh pepper, spring flowers, wet stones, and plenty of red and black fruits. Aromatically complex, rich, structured, with a touch of austerity very much in a French style, but with superb fruit, this beauty is broad, expansive, and deep and powerful. Give this wine several years of bottle age and drink it over the following 12-15+ years. "
