"Giovanni's "top" offerings are two proprietary wines called "Venc" and "Vencjar." Both of these come from a tiny 3.7-acre vineyard planted in 1950. The 2002 Venc Bianco is 50% pinot bianco, 20% chardonnay both tank fermented and aged "sur lie," and 30% barrel-fermented chardonnay. The nose is fascinating, alternating between flower and fruit with hints of hazelnut and vanilla. Try it with Sashimi!"
