"Owned by Jason Drew and his brother, Mark, this is a name to watch for Santa Barbara County Pinot and Syrah. Jason has been in the wine business since 1992, serving stints at Joseph Phelps, Carmenet, Luna, Corison, and St. Supery. He also spent 1997-98 in Australia, getting his degree in winemaking. Then, relocating to Santa Barbara County, he worked for Babcock before starting Drew Family Cellars and producing 380 cases as their first vintage in 2001. Jason uses about 25% new oak on his Syrahs."
