"Potel’s 2005 Gevrey-Chambertin Le Petite Chapelle smells intensely of fresh, ripe cherry dusted with cardamom, mace and cinnamon. Bright and freshly-fruited (with suggestions of distillates as well) in the mouth but satiny and underlain by serious chalky mineral notes and suggestions of dark chocolate, this finishes expansively and memorably with fine tannins, rich fruit, chalk and chocolate, and a hint of sirloin juices. (93-94)."
