"91 points from Robert Parker: "The 2005 Chardonnay Big Paw is a vastly superior wine. Huge notes of honeyed mango, orange marmalade, peach oil, and minerals, with little evidence of oak emerge from this full-bodied, fruity white. With a Burgundian-like minerality as well as a beautiful finish, it should be drunk over the next 3-4 years." (Aug. 2007) A bumper crop was brought in for 2005, due to the heavy rains in the early part of the year. Yields were nearly 4 tons/acre compared with just under 3 tons/acre in 2004 (and that was at 1 cluster/shoot). But there are still intense flavors of orange blossoms, mango and peach, supported by flint and wet stone with a soft, lingering finish. With slightly higher pH's than the 2004s, the 2005s have a suppleness that is ethereal"
