"Strong smokey notes on the nose and mineral and lemon on the palate. Drinking better now than last year. "

"There are 130 barrels produced of the excellent 2002 Puligny-Montrachet. Lily flower and mineral-scented, it is light-bodied, satiny-textured, and fleshy. A feminine, graceful wine, it offers flavors of minerals as well as hints of talcum powder. Drink it over the next 3 years. Wine Spectator 87 pts.
Fresh and elegant, showing lemon, hazelnut, spice and mineral aromas and flavors matched to a lean profile and firm structure. It's well-balanced and poised to develop well over time. Drink now through 2008. 500 cases imported. (BS)

"By Stephen Tanzer

($79) Aromas of peach, hazelnut and vanillin oak. Complex, layered and rather elegantly styled; ripe, leesy flavors of pear, nuts and minerals. Offers an enticing sugar/acid balance. Next to this the Chassagne-Montrachet comes across as drier and less pliant. 89 points "
