"The debut release from Nadia and Pierre Durand (horse buffs may remember him as France's gold medal winner in the equestrian championships held in South Korea), the 2000 La Grangere was made with the assistance of oenologist Denis Dubourdieu. An excellent, classic claret, it offers a smoky, blackberry, licorice, and cherry-scented and flavored personality, sweet tannin, medium to full body, excellent concentration, and good freshness as well as overall harmony. Give it 2-3 years of cellaring and enjoy it over the following 15-16 years. It is a sleeper of the vintage. Rated 88-90 Robert Parker
