"There are 1,400 six-packs of the 2002 Syrah Reva Vineyard Estate. Tasted just after bottling, it was performing spectacularly well. Its opaque purple color is accompanied by a classic bouquet of creme de cassis, blackberries, and touches of new oak, tar, and sweet leather. It is a spectacular, dense, opulent, full-bodied effort with good minerality as well as structure. It should drink well for 10-15 years. Most of these wines are sold via Alban’s mailing list, so if you love Rhone Ranger wines, it’s time to enjoy these remarkable offerings."
