"The stunning 2002 Shiraz/Viognier is composed of 91% Shiraz and 9% Viognier that were co-fermented, experienced an indigenous yeast fermentation, and spent 18 months in primarily French oak (39% new). A glorious perfume of apricot jam, blackberry liqueur, cassis, licorice, and pepper is followed by a wine with superb texture, medium to full body, low acidity, and sweet tannin. It is an upfront, hedonistic, mouthfilling 2002 to drink now and over the next 5-7 years."
