93 points "A wine with a rich and decadent fruit structure and a spice, meat and cedar undertone. Full-bodied, velvety and long. It goes on and on. Best after 2008. 1,580 cases made. –JS " Best 2008-

96 points "Cogno's 2010 Barolo Ravera emerges from some of the oldest vineyards in the property. Dark red cherry, plum, menthol, licorice and smoke meld together in a sumptuous wine that impresses for its breadth and volume. At the same time, there is plenty of Ravera minerality supporting the fruit. The Ravera doesn't have the early appeal of the Cascina Nuova, rather it is a wine for the cellar. Hints of savory herb and floral notes with a faint suggestion of Chinato wrap around the finish." Best 2018-2035
