Rancho Zabaco has built a reputation on dense, concentrated, fruity zinfandels, and this affordable example especially works for people who are new to the lure of this wonderful dry, red wine. Dancing Bull is made from grapes from the Lodi region of California. Tannins are restrained, flavors fruit-forward and round. Besides the typical red berry (raspberries and cherries) character, it delivers a smack of anise and spicy black pepper. It's perfect for pizza, red pasta sauces and when the doctor orders a glass of red wine a day.
