"An opulent style, with ripe, rich fruit and layers of oak to dress it up. The core wild berry and black cherry flavors are rich and smooth and the wood, with its exotic smoky spice and hazelnut shadings, adds a tasty dimension. Drink now through 2009."

"Ripe, delicious and exuberant; rich with layers of wild berry, blackberry and raspberry shaded by light, toasty oak. Finishes with a fantastic burst of fruit and ripe, integrated tannins. Drink now through 2009. 4,973 cases made. (JL)"

4.5 stars
"Color: bright; Aromas: mineral, spicy, tree fruit; Sweetness: dry; Finish: persistent; This is stunning. Much of Rosenblum's young zins wines are difficult to access - and are pruney and concentrated with lots of vanilla. But this 10 year old zin - was delightful - rich black cherry, but not a "heavy" wine. It sparkled with the cherry and spice and a richness (from the vanilla but not an "over" vanilla flavor).
So we can drink these zins well aged -not young like most."
