"RELEASE NOTES: Château Coutelin Merville is owned by the talented winemaker, Bernard Estager. The estate has 60 acres of vines near Châteaux Haut Marbuzet and Tour de Pez. This wine is a blend of 50% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot that spent 18 months in oak barrels (a quarter of them new) before bottling.
TASTING NOTES: Tasting Notes:
Dense purple color. Red and black fruit aromas. A well-structured palate with great balance and depth leading to blackcurrant, tobacco and anise flavors. Still young – can age 5 to 8 more years. Let breathe for an hour or decant before serving. Excellent accompaniment to roasts, aged cheeses, and lamb.
