"The second of the two wines tasted after the Union des Grands Crus tasting. It has belonged to the Lacoste family since 1779 and after 40 years 'en fermage' has been reclaimed by the family. The first vintage was 2001 and a mother and daughter, Bernadette and Marie-Pierre, are responsible. There are only five hectares with 95% Sémillon. The wine has great purity of fruit and concentration, quite superb. Well worth seeking out."
