"The greatest wine Quiot has ever made in my opinion, this wine shows a dense ruby/purple color and a gorgeous nose of camphor, blackberry, kirsch, some roast beef and Provencal herbs. Full-bodied with great intensity, beautiful purity, a multi-dimensional mouthfeel, and a spectacular finish of close to a minute, this is a fabulous effort from Quiot and should drink well for close to two decades.""

It is good to see such quality emerge from one of the region s top spokespeople. The 2003 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Exceptionnelle may be the finest wine Quiot has yet produced. A deep, profoundly concentrated effort, it boasts a dense ruby-purple-tinged color as well as a gorgeous perfume of raspberry and cherry liqueur intermixted with notion of licorice, flowers, and spice. Full-bodied and unctuously-textured, with high levels of lgycerin and alcool as well as tremendous purity, this is a terrific, fullthottle, palate-staining, impeccably well-balanced Châteauneuf-du-Pape that can be drunk in 2-3 years, or cellared for 12-15.""
