"Notes: The 2003 Yiron is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (61%), Merlot (32%) and Syrah aged for 16 months in French oak barriques. This is a lovely wine, sensually textured, with delectable red berry notes. It is soft at first, although there are tannins around the edges which can be drying, and they continue to emerge with air, eventually providing some grip on the finish. It has a modest mid-palate, but it is a pleasure to drink, harmonious, flavorful, sensual and delicious, with those red berry nuances lingering on the finish. It drank better after being open for two hours. It is another wine that will make people say, “THIS is Israeli?” Drink now-2013. Owned by prestigious Golan Heights Winery in a joint venture with Kibbutz Yiron, Galil Mountain has been attracting some attention on its own. Best 2008-2013 "
