90 points "The 2004 Tinto (Quinta dos Quatro Ventos) is a mid-weight, intense and well structured wine, with significant tannins for aging. The fruit is tasty and well integrated into the mid-palate, which is largely dominated at the moment by the gripping, somewhat drying tannins. This wine will not really be approachable until around 2008 or so, but should age gracefully. This took a long while to come around, but I gave it a lot of air, and saw evidence that it will acquire grace and charm to go with its power. It is a keeper for sure, and is the sweet spot in this lineup if it improves as well I think it will. It is not as suave or as deep as the 2002 Reserva reviewed here, but it is impressive in many respects. When all is said and done, I actually like this 2004 “regular” better than the 2002 and 2001 Reservas. Drink 2008-2015. This big company, with holdings throughout several Portuguese wine regions, brought in Michel Rolland and Pascal Chatonnet in 1999 to consult. Chatonnet remains, working with winemaker Francisco Antunes. From what I have seen, this big company does a nice job of crafting quality wines at generally fair prices. " Best 2008-2015
