"The grapes for this wine were sourced from the bodega's 25 year old vineyards in the Ribera Alta and Tierra estella. The plots tend to be small, less than half a hectare and planted on stony well-drained teracces, so the yeilds are low and concentration is good. This fine red was traditionally fermented from nearly all Tempranillo, with just a splash of Cabernet Sauvignon to give it a bit of richness and depth.
This red makes an attractive glass for drinking on its own. We like it with white meats such as roast chicken or quail, stuffed peppers, paella and other Spanish rice dishes, or a mix of Tappas."
