Tasting Notes:
rated: November 11, 2012 , Wine Spectator
93 points "This red exhibits plenty of fresh blackberry and black cherry notes, but also iron, mineral and loam flavors that give complexity and a sense of place. Well-balanced and long on the aftertaste. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Alicante, Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc. Drink now through 2016. 3,000 cases imported. –BS Wine Enthusiast -- 92pts Dròmos is a bold and masculine wine with aromas of mature black fruit, spice, moist tobacco, campfire and black granite. The wine is structured and well-etched with brawn and staying power. It tastes sweet and ripe and lasts many long seconds on the palate. - M.L. (3/1/2010). Wine Advocate (8/09)-- 91pts The 2006 Dromos is the finest wine this property has produced to date. A big, exuberant red, the 2006 Dromos flows with masses of dark fruit, herbs, minerals and French oak. With some time in the glass, the wine’s inner perfume emerges, adding further complexity. The tannins build on the finish, and the wine needs another year or two in bottle but it is a delicious example of Maremma in this important vintage. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2016. " Best 2011-2016
