93 points "Presents a massive core of earth- and dark berry-driven flavors, with dense mineral, graphite, crushed berry and rock, mocha and raspberry accents. Ends with a sturdy wall of tannins. Syrah and Mourvèdre. Best from 2016 through 2028. 389 cases made." Best 2016-2028

91 points "The 2012 Booker Vineyard is extremely raw and unformed at this stage. Still on its gross lees, the 2011 is in need of a racking. This site typically delivers big, bold wines. I expect that will be the case here as well, but time will tell. It will be interesting to see how things turn out after bottling. (91-94)." Best 2015-2024

99 points "Classic Booker with its serious levels of dark fruit, chocolate, earth and mineral, the 2011 Syrah Booker Vineyard (67% Syrah, 33% Mourvedre) builds incrementally on the palate and delivers full-bodied richness and depth without ever seeming heavy or cumbersome. Aged in 300- and 350-liter hogsheads, this seamless, focused and layered barrel sample is brilliant and could come from nowhere else. It should have 15+ years of longevity. Drink 2016-2026. (97-99 points) Jeb Dunnuck, The Wine Advocate #208, August 2013"
