"A slightly fresher and more elegant nose speaks of cool and relatively high-toned red pinot fruit with a top note of violets. The round, supple, detailed and gorgeously pure flavors also evidence a hint of minerality that continues all the way through to the balanced finish. This is finer than the straight Volnay but not quite as structured or complex. A qualitative choice."
